A Mark Originalish: Kanye Meets Cash
I do have the time and motivation to write songs, but unlike Justin, I largely lack the talent for doing so. I’ve got a couple things that I’ve been working on, but they all seem to drag and get bogged down in the bridge section. One day I’ll post a few pieces up here and see if you guys can stitch them together or add anything.
In the meantime, I think we’ll keep the Originalish thing going and post a song that I recorded this morning. I’m a big Kanye fan, but I can’t imagine me covering Kanye would be even remotely interesting to anyone. However, Johnny Cash covering Kanye? That people would pay money for…
I just pulled my guitar out for the first time in months today and I recorded said song using Garageband with a click track. I think all my hours of playing Rock Band are finally paying off. I remember playing to a click to be much, much harder.
So thanks, J.Ro. Apparently I was duly impressed and inspired.
